All stories are worth telling

My name is Andrea Saltori (Trento, 2002) and I am a documentary and photojournalism photographer.

My journey with photography began at age thirteen, when I discovered in a single frame a universal language capable of transcending cultural and generational barriers. To pursue this creative drive, I started working at a very young age, investing every resource in training and equipment. I solidified my foundation at the “Fortunato Depero” Art School in Rovereto, a path that allowed me to immediately explore a range of projects, from commercial productions and music videos to visual projects of various kinds.

My vision has been deeply influenced by working alongside professionals of the caliber of Paolo Verzone, Gabriele Galimberti, and Gabriele Micalizzi. This approach has driven me to document complex human realities: I collaborated on the “Svalbard: Silent Games” project and witnessed Red Cross humanitarian missions firsthand, photographing the reality of migrants aboard quarantine ships during the COVID-19 emergency. Subsequently, I immersed myself in the Paris underground to chronicle the secret community of cataphiles in my project “Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité,” complementing this research with many other independent works and reportages.

Today, alongside my work at the Trento Health Authority, I continue to be active in the international photography scene. For me, photojournalism is not merely an ambition: it is the necessary tool for documenting the truth and understanding the present.
