MEMOORABLES
Memoorables is a project made of stories.
Stories that are not talked about due to laziness or fear, imposed disinterest or habit of abnegating topics that seem unable to touch us closely.
Memoorables is about everyone and for everyone, which is why it will tell people and truths that are hidden under an (almost invisible) layer of social omertà.
What does it mean to sell one's body to survive? What does it mean to be crushed by religious dogma without having the choice of what to believe? What role does drugs play for a former drug addict? Does a Russian soldier today suffer from the stigma that exists only because of his job? How does one live with multiple personality disorder?
Memoorables will address current, little-explored topics, and the goal of the project will be to awaken consciences, spark discussion, and ignite the fires of debate without any limits to opinions, thoughts or sides.
Memoorables takes its lifeblood from sharing and will have nothing to do with journalistic activism or the form of reportage; Memoorables is art. The key mechanism of the project is to experience the story being told with neutrality and transport. We will meet the protagonists of the stories we tell in order to make the viewer feel at his or her side as well. For a few moments we will live his life, we will feed on his experiences in order to tell them. Today, the influence of any information or informer guides us by imposing us to have a shareable opinion or an idea that takes a precise social and political turn; Memoorables will disrupt this mechanism now introjected by everyone. The project was born and will grow moved by the will and pleasure of telling human stories, alive by narrating them as they are in their natural existence.
Our goal is to generate questions and not to give answers. We will do this through three different mediums: words, photography and video.
The art of words, the magic of photography and the power of audiovisuals will be the skeleton through which the stories we will tell will come to life.
Memoorables will be developed through a website, with access from both smartphones and desktops, linked to the most popular social platforms (TikTok /Instagram) but it will not stop there. Every story shared, every photograph taken will give birth to a concrete project that will attempt to invade the walls, streets, cafeterias or schools of the country in which we live. We will go so far as to physically propagandize the stories we wish to get out to everyone and, only then, Memoorables will deliver the slap in the face we demand to be thrown at every viewer.
